The Transformation of Volstoy

Kick Them Down The Road

By Good Will/Nolan

“You cannot slay the orc,”
The Orc Slayer said in censure.
“A battle does not work!
You must fight their sense of adventure!
Though I bear a sword,
My legends bear false morals.
The orks all left once bored
While I rested on my laurels.”

Kick it down the road, brave heroes!
Kick it down the road!
You cannot slay a rock, you can only
Kick it down the road!

The heroes cocked their heads
Saying, “What of all the children?”
We’ll be digging their grave beds
If we lay here like a killed wren.
And the Crossroads are at stake!
There’s starvation in their walls!
How much can a city take
As you ignore their calls?

Kick it down the road, brave heroes!
Kick it down the road!
You cannot slay a rock, you can only
Kick it down the road!

So under dark of night
The heroes hatched their schemes
To set this wrong a-right
And to haunt the orcish dreams
To teach the orcs a lesson
So they never do come back.
To give the orcs a press &
Let them stupidly attack.

Kick them down the road, brave heroes!
Kick them down the road!
Kick ‘em so hard their grandsons feel it!
Kick them down the road!

Nolan, he sang sweetly
With the power of the bards.
And made the watchful sleepy,
Enchanting all the guards.
Then he stood in ready manner
As did Lydia and Dell.
As Cat and LeRoy grabbed the banner
And then they ran like hell.

Kick them down the road, brave heroes!
Kick them down the road!
Kick ‘em so hard their grandsons feel it!
Kick them down the road!

The first wave came a’ blighting
And all did soon seem lost
For Dell and Cat fell fighting
But did not pay the final cost
Lydia and Nolan
Did what e’er they could
Til Leroy came a callin’
And beat those orcs but good.

Kick them down the road, brave heroes!
Kick them down the road!
Kick ‘em so hard their grandsons feel it!
Kick them down the road!

The second wave went better
Though a war chief joined the ranks
The orc horde could not fetter
Our heroes’ mighty tanks.
Fair Lydia’s magic
Had many of them faked
While Nolan’s song rang tragic
for the war chief who got baked.

Kick them down the road, brave heroes!
Kick them down the road!
Kick ‘em so hard their grandsons feel it!
Kick them down the road!
